About

Diagnosed in 2000 with severe clinical depression and later with C-PTSD. I have taken countless antidepressants, seen a myriad of doctors, therapists, and social workers, and have taken part in several clinical trials. Nothing has worked.

Not giving up, I finally found a treatment that has proven to be most effective. I base the Struggle Street blog on that treatment and current events involving the mental health community.

I’m not a doctor, therapist, or mental health professional. So please take this information in the spirit in which I intend it. If you are suicidal, please seek help immediately by calling the National Suicide Hotline at 1-800-784-2433.

For interviews, please email scarpoe@yahoo.com.

  2. I am glad you are doing so much better now and want to share your experience to help others. Sometimes when we need help or spiral back down a bit we feel too ashamed to ask for help. Here’s to always asking for help and giving life another passionate shot even when we feel worthless and unlovable.

  5. Have you ever been checked for delta phase storage pool deficiency? It’s a genetic disorder. It involves platelets. In those that have it, typical treatments for depression don’t work.
