From “Rain”

Group therapy is a cluster fuck. It helps no one, everybody sitting around talking about their fuck-up livesWe all have lives that are fucked, that’s why we’re here. Don’t hold your breath for a fix with this therapy. The sessions expose participants to a fuck-ton of negativity. It’s like taking a bath in a tub of shit, getting out pretending you are clean. It’s a circle jerk at best, leaving no chance for benefit.” I would leave the sessions feeling worse than when I arrived. Hell, I needed therapy to get over the group therapy. My outpatient experience was fucking worthless. I stopped attending after a week.

From the memoir Rain, A surrender to responsibility
